Quilted Bag from Amy Butler

I gifted the bag to my mother for her birthday.   Not sure if I am crazy about the piecework along the sides.  However, I dig the square bag design, the yellow zipper, the little tabs on the ends, the fact that I only had to buy one zipper to complete this bag, and the fact it is quilted.  Makes it feel really substantial.  Home decor weight fabric was used for the exterior.

very nice! the square design is cool, but I think it might take me a while to figure out how to best use it :-)

Ooh, I wanted to make that bag but got intimidated by all the supplies needed. Was it hard?

@Teresa - I agree... I was going to make one lined with oil cloth for a make up bag, but this bag is truely huge.
@Melissa - Intimidated!? That isn't the melissa I know :) It is like all sewing projects... sometimes you don't know what the hell they are asking you to do so you just do what makes sense to you. It usually turns out great!
